The story of Mellon’s Shop dates back to 1905 when it was first built, with the Mellon family taking the reins in 1920. Now in its fourth generation under Colm’s ownership, the shop continues to serve the local community with the same dedication and care. In fact, the fifth generation is often called in to help during school holidays!

Mellon’s Shop is an independent, family-run business that offers all the essentials—groceries, newspapers, confectionery, and minerals. But our true specialty lies in our barista-style coffee, freshly baked cakes, and wholesome meals. From healthy omelettes to homemade soups, salads, and sandwiches, we prepare everything daily in our onsite kitchen, serving both local residents and office workers alike.
